My AP art teacher from high school didn't like one of my art work. She said that she doesn't get what I wanted to express. I just drew waht I feel like to do and didn't think about the audience. Sometime, I forget about the audience. I forget that the art is not just for me. As the textbook says, through the art piece, the artist and the audience connect and understand.
On my opinion, artist doesn't mean they are good at drawing or painting. Arist are one who have their own unique way to express what they want to express.
One of my never-ending questions as I live, is "how do we measure the success?" This book just made a comment about career success. As usual, this book didn't give definite solution to solve my question.
As I saw the title of chaters, I thought Crafting an artistic "self" and Exressing an artistic attitude are same.
When I have hard time to find the inspiration, I wonder how the other artist get the inspiration. The other artists are same as me. I thought they might be different.
After the questions that I can think of are how I am going to express my artistic attitude, how I am going to find my artistic "self", and remind myself to remember the audience.
